Mervyn Carl Stein met and married the love of his life, Frances Whitmore in Flin Flon, MB in 1948.
He loved music and travel, but above all, he loved his family.
He is survived by his wife of 69 years, Frances; daughter Diana Ranger; son Ron Stein (Shirley Falls); grandchildren Leslie Trischuk (Tim), Kate-Lynne Ranger, Jessica Smith (Cody), Lindsay Gibbons (John), Landon Stein; two great-grandchildren, Sophie and Jacob Smith; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two sisters, Ruby and Violet.

A Celebration of Life will take place on Tuesday, January 16, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Parkland Funeral Home, Red Deer.
