HECK, Michael Anthony Michael Anthony Heck, loving husband of Alvina Heck (nee Anderson) passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital with his family at his side on Tuesday, February 22, 2005 at the age of 83 years. Mike was born on March 26, 1921 in Mendham, Saskatchewan. He was in the army from 1942 to 1945. He met the love of his life, Alvina, in Victoria in 1942 and they were married in 1944. They moved to Lacombe in 1945 and then to Red Deer in 1946. For sixteen years Mike worked as a chef, at the Red Deer Park Hotel and then at the West Park Nursing Home. He was a resident at the Red Deer Nursing Home from October 1990 until his passing. Mike leaves to mourn, his loving wife, Alvina, two daughters; Marlene (Oran) Cabelka of Bentley and Dianne (Ron) Stratichuk of Edmonton, five grandchildren; Devin, Sheila, Lynn, Terry and Lauri and nine great grandchildren; Dustin, Colbin, Kellin, Brandon, Katrina, Zachariah, Jamie, Jaret and Samuel. Mike was predeceased by his parents, seven brothers and one sister. Funeral Services will be held at the Living Stones Church (2020 - 40 Ave, Red Deer) on Saturday, February 26, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. with Reverend James Culham officiating.
