In loving memory ~

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Mr. Michael George Morris announces his passing in Red Deer, Alberta on Sunday, October 6, 2024 at the age of 85 years. Michael was born in Ottawa, Ontario on June 3, 1939, to Wilfred and Aurora Morris. Mike worked for the Federal Government in Ottawa until he moved his family west, into British Columbia, where he worked for Canadian Forest Products, until he retired in 2002. He enjoyed camping, fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, watching curling, the Toronto Blue Jays, and feeding the birds and squirrels. Michael left a lot of amazing memories and will be greatly missed by all who love him. Michael will be lovingly remembered by his loving wife of sixty-one years, Madeline; his two daughters, Deborah Jane Batty (Murray) and Jennifer Michele Turner (Darrell); and his son, Geoffrey Michael (Jen Joyal); his seven grandchildren, Landon Rea (Kim), Aaron Rea, Brandon Nadeau, Bailey Nadeau, Benjamin Nadeau, Emily Morris, and James Morris (Sara); and his great grandson, Rory Morris. He will also be sadly missed by his two sisters, Lorraine Lalonde and Carole St. Michael; his nephew, Steven Carkner; and his favorite sister-in-law, Kathleen Wylie. Michael was predeceased by his brothers, Peter, Lawrence, Eduard, Dennis, Robert, and his sister, Helene. Condolences, memories and photos may be shared and viewed at www.parklandfuneralhome.com.
