MICKEY CARTER On Friday March 13th, 2009 Michael L. MICKEY CARTER of Ponoka, passed away at the age of 87 after suffering a heart attack while on a cruise of the Hawaiian Islands. Mickey is survived by his wife, Ilona, his son, Barrie (Patricia), three grandsons, Josh (Linda), Jade (Gail), Zachary, his granddaughter, Kira, and one great grand-daughter, Lauren, daughter of Josh and Linda. He was predeceased by his daughter, Janet Ann in 2000. A Celebration of his Life and Memorial Service will be held on May 2nd, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Ponoka Funeral Home with lunch and refreshments to follow at the Ponoka Legion. In lieu of flowers donations in Mickey’s memory may be made to the Ponoka Kinsmen Club, The Ponoka Rotary Club, or the Ponoka Legion Branch 66.
