MONKMAN Mr. Glen "Blacky" Monkman of Red Deer, passed away peacefully in his sleep at home on Friday, July 2, 2004 at the age of 48 years. Blacky was born May 19, 1956 at Selkirk, Manitoba. Blacky was a wonderful, kind and loving husband, father, son, brother, uncle and a devoted and cherished friend. Blacky leaves to mourn his loss, his close friend, Marcie; his daughters, Kalista and Cheyenne; and his son, Patrick. He will also be sadly missed by his father, Melvin; brothers, Ronnie and Barry (Margaret); sisters, Sandra, Elly, Dawnalyn (Keith), Jeannie (Pat) and Charlene, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Blacky was predeceased by his mother, Margaret; and a brother, Wayne. A celebration of Blacky's life will be held at the Eventide Funeral Chapels, 4820-45th Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Wednesday, July 7, 2004 at 2:00 p.m. Cremation entrusted to the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta. If desired, Memorial Contributions in Blacky's honour may be made directly to the Alberta Cancer Society, 3942-50A Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta, T4N 6R2.
