MUNSTERS 1949 - 2009 Mr. Peter Hendrikus Munsters, beloved husband of Brenda Fay (nee Borodey) of Red Deer, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly at the Foothills Hospital, Calgary on Tuesday, March 17, 2009 at the age of 59 years. Peter was born on December 30, 1949 at Einhoven, Holland (The Netherlands). Peter immigrated to Canada at the age of five with his family and settled in Winnipeg, Manitoba where Peter was raised and educated. He later moved to Alberta in the late 1970s, where he met the love of his life Brenda. They married in 1983 and settled in Red Deer. Peter's career spanned from Sears to Eaton's as a visual display manager. After the closing of Eaton's, Peter furthered his career in sign making and at the time of his death Peter was employed with City Screen. He will be remembered for his love of music, his pen and ink art work, and his enjoyment of reading. Peter was also a great cook and loved the challenge of a good crossword puzzle. Peter also enjoyed the quiet moments and the simple things in life like a good cold beer. Peter is survived by his loving wife Brenda, caring daughter, Nicole Fay and Sugar (the cat) the other female family member all of Red Deer. He is also survived by his Mother, Wilhelmina, sister, Senia (Paul) Ruiter, their four children, Michelle, Jackie (Sam), Monique and Jason, sister Ellis (Merle) Coldwell, and his great nephews and niece, Rogan, Jake, Kelsey all of Winnipeg, Manitoba, as well as other numerous family in Winnipeg and Holland. Peter was predeceased by his father Peter Sr. A Celebration of Peter's life will be held at the Red Deer Legion, Branch #35, 2810 Bremner Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta on Monday, March 23, 2009 at 2:30 p.m. Memorial donations in Peter's honour may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, 101, 5208 - 53 Avenue Red Deer, Alberta, T4N 5K2.
