Mrs. Muriel Doris Joy (Joyce) Hogaboam of Red Deer, passed away peacefully with her family by her side, at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Thursday, December 9, 2004 at the age of 83 years. Joyce was born on July 9, 1921 at Provost, Alberta. She moved to Red Deer during the war years, where she met and married her husband, Charles Hogaboam. Joyce was a wonderful and loving mother who cherished her family with all her heart. She worked very hard devoting her life to caring for her family and her home. Her kindness and generosity toward others brought Joyce many friends during her lifetime. Joyce will be ever so sadly missed but lovingly remembered and cherished in the hearts of her family and dear friends. Joyce leaves to mourn her loss, her loving children, Arlene (Dennis) Marrion of Tacoma, Washington, Lorraine Hogaboam, Lyle (Randi) Hogaboam and Keith (Wendy) Hogaboam, eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. She will also be sadly missed by her sister, Irene Christensen, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Joyce was predeceased by her beloved husband, Charlie in 1987, a son, Douglas in 1951, brothers, James, Robert, George, Albert, Bruce and Gordon and a sister, Grace. Relatives and friends are invited to come and pay their respects two hours prior to the Life Celebration. A Celebration of Joyce’s Life will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapels, 4820 – 45th Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Wednesday, December 15, 2004 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation entrusted to the Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
