In loving memory ~
Myrtle (Huber) Bachler, 88, passed away on June 6, 2025, at Red Deer Regional Hospital, following a brief battle with kidney issues. Born in Serath, Saskatchewan, in 1936, she married Herbert in 1957 and they were devoted parents to Janise and Keith.
Myrtle was a loving mother and grandmother. She joyfully dedicated her life to creating a warm home for her family and supporting Herb as a pastor's wife. A gifted seamstress, organist, and vocalist, Myrtle taught Sunday School, led Bible studies, and was a frequent speaker. She was renowned for her chocolate chiffon birthday cakes, buns, and rhubarb jam, and enjoyed reading, being a true grammar guru and spelling whiz. In retirement, she assisted Herb with their barnwood business and cherished their camper van travels to visit loved ones. Despite battling Alzheimer's in her final years, Myrtle remained sweet and gentle.
Myrtle is survived by her children, Janise (Frank) and Keith; her grandchildren Tyler (Kelsey), Krysten (Cory), Jessie (Troy), Keegan, Gracie (Jake), and Jayden; her sister Ethel, brother Elmer (Eleanor), brother-in-law Ernest (Violet), sisters-in-law Lydia and Wilma, and many special nieces and nephews.
