1956-2017

Nancy Celene Krebs, beloved wife of Allan of 24 years, passed away at the Red Deer Hospice on May 22, 2017 at the age of 60 years. Nancy was born July 6, 1956, the eldest child of Roy and Juliana Schafer in Kitimat, B.C. After her brother Stephen was born, the family moved back to Red Deer to the family farm. Nancy enjoyed farm life - milking cows, riding her horse, riding bicycles with Steve, family outings. She attended River Glen School, LTCHS and graduated from Foothills School of Nursing in 1978. She enjoyed a 6 month trip travelling with her friends around the world and then obtained her Bachelor of Nursing Degree from Lethbridge in 1990.

Nancy enjoyed working at RDRH on Med-Surg units, in ICU, ER, OR, in Abu Dhabi of the United Arab Emirates, and during the last 15 years in Red Deer Home Care in various departments - the last of which was the Placement Office. Nancy married Allan on March 6, 1993 and they settled on their acreage near Sylvan Lake. They enjoyed living on the acreage, building their shop for their business, road trips, date nights, motorcycle rallies, soaking in pools in Radium, fun trips to Vegas and the US, and camping this past summer. Nancy will be dearly remembered and greatly missed by her loving husband Allan, her father, Roy, brother Stephen (Gillian), nieces Lisa (Adam) and great nephews Ethan and Jaxon Kane, Lindsay Schafer,

Jennifer (Adam) and great nephew Carson Lynchuk, her father-in-law Henry, Valerie (Glen) Pangle, Paul (Calista), Pamela (Alex), and Shaylea, Wayne (Noranna) Krebs, Heidi and Connor, Kim (Bill) Buterman, Dale (Jenn) and Tyler Krebs, and her aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. She was predeceased by an infant brother Donald in 1970 and her mother, Juliana, in 2011.

Funeral services will be held at Gaetz Memorial United Church, 4758 - 50th Street (Ross Street), Red Deer, Alberta on Friday, May 26, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Jeffrey Rock, officiating.
