Nancy DENT

DENT Nancy Eileen Dent of Red Deer (formerly of Innisfail) passed away on Thursday, June 8 at the age of 94 years. Nancy was born August 11, 1911 in Liverpool, England. After a secretarial career and a four year service in the British Armed Forces, she immigrated to Canada in 1950. Nancy married Charles Reginald Dent, they resided in Markerville for 38 years. Nancy was a telephone operator for AGT, she also wrote travelogues and the Markerville News for the Innisfail Province for several years. Nancy and Charlie moved to Innisfail in 1995. Charlie died in 1997. After her husband’s passing, she moved to Poplar Grove Court, then to Autumn Glen Lodge, Innisfail, where she met a lot of new friends. She moved to Valley Park Manor, Red Deer, in 2004 and resided there until her passing. She is survived by daughter Stella Harris of England, daughter Joanne (Mark) of Red Deer, son Ben (Gloria) of Red Deer, and son Reg (Donna) of Provost; 3 grandchildren, Stephanie, Aaron and Marissa; and special friend Leonard (Cam) Cameron of Red Deer. If friends so desire memorial tributes may be made to STARS or to the Valley Park Manor. Funeral Mass will be held at Metcalf Funeral Chapel on Wednesday, June 14, 2006 at 2:00pm.
