In Loving Memory ~
Neil John Wagstaff of Elnora, passed away at the Three Hills Hospital on Sunday July 3, 2022, at the age of 73, following a four-year battle with renal cancer.
He will be remembered and missed forever by his devoted wife Mary; his three children Doug (Marina) Wagstaff, Jody (Chad) Young, Jackie (Andrew) Aellen; nine Grandchildren Grace, Victoria, and Alayna Wagstaff, Eythan and Jaynee Young, Jacob, Molly, Clara, and Emery Aellen; four brothers Gary (Lynn), Lorne (Sharon), Glen (Michelle), and Kerry.
Neil was predeceased by his father Norman (2007) and his mother Daphne (2003).
A huge thank you to the health care professionals that supported Neil through the many stages of his journey. Dr. Julyan-Gudgeon Dr. Jim, Dr. McCall, and Dr. Basappa - the family cannot thank you enough for your care and personal touch.
Also thank you to staff at the Red Deer Emergency unit, Cross Cancer Institute, Three Hills Hospital, Home Care, and EMS personnel who so often provided Neil and Mary support through the most trying of times.
Thank you to the members of the Elnora Fire Department (friends and neighbours) for often going beyond the call of duty to help Neil and Mary when they needed assistance most and medical support was so far away.
A gathering to celebrate his life will be held at the Elnora Community Hall on Saturday, July 8, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations would be appreciated in his name to the Elnora Legion, Elnora Library, or Elnora Museum.
