HOLROYD Nellie Eliza Mrs. Nellie Holroyd of Rocky Mountain House passed away peacefully on January 7, 2008 at the age of 89 years. Nellie is survived by her children: Lyle of Shawnigan Lake, B.C., Fay-Anne Kerrington of Deep Brook, N.S. David of Guadalajara, Mexico, and Carol Wiens of Red Deer, 4 grandchildren Vydelle (Mike) Sabbe of Red Deer, Denise Silk of Dawson Creek, B.C., Linda (Joe) Schaus of Dewinton, AB, and Michael (Carolyn) Eng of Hubley, N.S.; 5 great grandchildren: David, Sara, and Kimberleigh Ward, and Kristi and Kari Silk; 1 sister Winnifred (Leonard) Holroyd of Victoria, B.C; 2 sisters-in-law Phyllis McKain of Innisfail and Joyce Mynott of Merritt, B.C. as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Elbert on January 8, 1989, her parents, her sister Ethelwyn Cornell and brother Jim Mynott. The Funeral Service for the late Mrs. Nellie Holroyd will be held at the Chapel of the Rocky Funeral Home on Saturday, January 12, 2008 at 2:00 P.M. with Reverend Dale Hansen officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery. As an expression of sympathy, memorial contributions may be made in Nellie's name to the Rocky Mountain House Church of the Nazarene Building Fund or to the charity of the donor's choice.
