COURTNEY Nicholas James Nicholas James (Jim) Courtney, dutiful son, loving husband, devoted father and grandfather, and dedicated teacher, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 11 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. Predeceased by his sister, Margaret Courtney and parents, John and Peggy Courtney, Jim is survived by his sister, Maureen (Ed) Gerlach, brother, John (Margaret) Courtney, wife, Valerie, and children, Michael (Karen), Patricia, Kim (Kathy), Colleen, and Shari (Caine), as well as grandchildren; Sarah, Pamela, Megan, Lexie and Graham. He will be missed by all. Funeral Service will be held on Friday, October 16, 2009 at the St. Stephen's Catholic Church, 5128 53 Street, Lacombe, Alberta at 4:00 pm. Friends and Family who are wishing to pay their respects may do so from 3:00 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. prior to the service. Interment to follow at the Fairview Cemetery.
