ZAHARA
Nick "B" Zahara was born in Rycroft, AB, January 15,1931 and passed away quietly on December 20, 2009 in the Red Deer Regional Hospital at the age of 78. Nick married Cora Joyce Baird on July 17, 1957, and the couple was blessed with two beautiful daughters, Nicola Ann born April 2. 1958 and Dawna Faye born December 23, 1961. The couple lived in Nanton, AB for a short period of time then moved to Red Deer where they spent the rest of their life together. Nick's employment involved farming, working on oil rigs, driving transport truck for a number of years, as well as a number of years in commercial building construction. His free time was spent hunting, fishing and working in his shop. The family enjoyed the outdoors together on many occasions. Nick was predeceased by his loving wife Joyce, his parents Bill and Mary Zahara, and his brother John Zahara. He will be lovingly remembered by his daughters Nicola (Bill) Armstrong of Youngstown, AB, Dawna (Darrel) Wyton of Spruce Grove, AB; four grandsons, Nathan (wife Bonny), Nicholas, Christopher Armstrong and Blaine Wyton; one granddaughter Katelin Wyton; as well as sister Dorothy (Edward) Lengle of Edmonton, AB; brother Frank (Joyce)Zahara of Caroline, AB and also a number of nieces and nephews. Services will be at Cross Roads Church, 38105 Range Road 275, Red Deer on Tuesday December 29, 2009 at 1:30 pm , Pastor Ken Lehman officiating.
