NOEL GERVAIS

GERVAIS, NOEL JOSEPH Noel Joseph Gervais of Red Deer, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, August 22, 2004 at the age of 76 years. Noel was born December 25, 1927 at Morrinville, Alberta. He and his family moved to West Saunders, Alberta where they ran a boarding house. He also worked in the coalmines of Alexo and Saunders even after losing two uncles in the Nordegg mine disaster. In 1955 Noel moved to Sylvan Lake, Where He and his family resided until 1965 before moving to Red Deer. Noel worked for Federal Pioneer Electric from 1956 to 1981 until health forced early retirement. He enjoyed working around the yard and house and the fishing trips out west with his friends when he could. He will be sadly missed by his four children, Anthony, Vivian, Nancy (Anthony) Forbert, And Roland (Tari) all of Red Deer, also four lovely granddaughters, Donna, Shannon, Megan and Lindsay and his special little friend "Skippy". He is also survived by his brother Roland Gervais of Port Moody, British Columbia and his aunts, uncles and cousins. He was precedeased by his father Antonio Gervais in 1973, his mother Odilia Wiebe in 1986 and his oldest brother Wilford Gervais in 1988. The family would like to add a special thank you to the home care nurses who came in daily to see him. Friends and relatives are welcome to join the family at the home of the late Mr. Noel Gervais, 6235 - 61 Avenue, Red Deer on Saturday, August 28, 2004 between 11:00 a.m. and 2:00 p.m. for a time of memory sharing and fellowship. In living memory of Mr. Noel Joseph Gervais, a tree will be planted in the Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium Memorial Tree Park.
