SPONHOLZ

Nora Elena Sponholz (nee Rataushk) passed away peacefully in her sleep on August 12, 2010 with her family by her side. Nora was born at Eagle Butte, Alberta on December 24, 1916 to Fredrick and Edda Lisette Rataushk. She grew up in the Cypress Hills and was united in marriage to Raymond Sponholz on October 29, 1942. They moved to the Tees area in 1945 where they farmed and raised their family. In 1973, Nora and Ray retired from farming and moved to Red Deer. Then in 2001, Nora moved to Ponoka where she lived until her passing. Nora was predeceased by her husband Raymond in 1990 and her son Henry in July 2010. Nora lived by;

"Never Give Up, God Is Faithfull". Cor. 1:9 She will be greatly missed by her daughters Joyce Sponholz and Fay (Jonn) Kapjek, daughter-in-law Shona Sponholz and grandchildren Apryl, Tyler (Andrea Ruskin), Michael, Amity (fiancé Gordon Jickling) Sponholz and Maryanna (Sandor) Arendse nee: Kapjek, and her precious "little man" great grandson Jonathan. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Graveside committal service will be held on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 11:00 AM at the Alto Reste Cemetery, Red Deer, AB. Funeral Services will be held from Wilson's Funeral Chapel, 6120 Highway 2A, Lacombe, AB on Thursday, August 19, 2010 at 2:00 PM.
