August 6, 1930 - October 2, 2018
Noreen was born on August 6, 1930 to Gordon and Edna McLellan. She was raised in Jasper, Alberta and after graduation went to Edmonton where she obtained her Registered Nurse.

She married Boyd Woolsey in 1952 and they moved to Stettler in 1957 where she worked as a nurse at the Stettler Medical Centre as well as Stettler Hospital and Auxiliary hospital complexes. Noreen was a very involved community member who did a great deal of volunteer work including United Church board, UCW, organization of the Stettler Chapter of the Alberta Association of Registered Nurses, Cancer and Albert Heart foundations, Communities Against Abuse board member, Lifeline board member, Alberta Games board, Bar Harbour camp and served two terms on town council.

Noreen also received many awards including Citizen of the Year, Arthritis Hero and Heritage Service award by the AARN.

She is predeceased by her husband Boyd in 1994, and her parents as well as siblings Pat and Bill and numerous Woolsey relatives.

She leaves to mourn her brother Jack (Bea) McLellan and children Ronald, Dennis (Wendy) Woolsey, Barbara (Norman) Dillingham, Carol (Melvin) Dyck, Janette (Brent) McCabe, Susan (Keith) Haustein. Grandchildren, Jennifer (Greg) Mihal, Jason (Jessica Gilbertson) Dillingham, Ryana (Ward) Mather, Josh (Dani) Woolsey, Adam (Kara) Woolsey, Pamela (Jason) Dyck, Craig (Autumn) Dyck, Kelsie McCabe, Reg (Joy Munroe) McCabe, Trevor (Kathryn Morlock) Haustein; Amber (Jon) Murphy as well as 18 great grandchildren, numerous Woolsey family in laws, nieces, nephews, 'adopted children' and a host of great friends.

Service to be held on Monday October 15, 2018 at 3:00 pm at the Stettler United Church. Stettler Funeral Home in charge of arrangements. Memorial donations may be made to the United Church or Communities Against Abuse or a charity of your choice.
