Norma COSTELLO

February 22, 2006

COSTELLO Norma Costello of Sylvan Lake, Alberta, passed away in the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Thursday, February 16, 2006. Norma was a native Calgarian, born in 1911, and spent over 70 years in her beloved city. She and her husband Jimmy (known to his friends as Pat) then retired to Sylvan Lake and spent their winters in Arizona. Norma was a very proud Calgarian, having come from very strong western roots in the ranching community. She devoted her life to her husband and two sons, and was always surrounded by many fun-loving friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Margaret and Stanley Timmins, her brother, Harold, and her sister, Carrie Gardiner as well as her youngest son Patrick in 1961, and her husband in 1986. She is survived by her loving son Barry, and his wife Laurie of Calgary, and grandchildren Michael Costello of Calgary, Brian Costello and his wife Terri of Toronto and Kari Costello of Victoria. She also leaves behind her, two nieces, Pat Rhodes of Cape Cod Massachusetts, and Anita Martin of Victoria, as well as her good friend Vi Fletcher-Pogmore of Red Deer. Norma is also survived by numerous other relatives throughout Canada and the United States. In keeping with Norma’s wishes, no formal service will be held. If friends so desire, memorial tributes can be made to the charity of their choice, in memory of this feisty little lady.
