WEIR Norman Clifford "Norm" 1951-2009 It is with great sadness that we the family of Norman Clifford "Norm" Weir announce his sudden passing on Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at his cottage at Buffalo Lake, AB at the age of 57 years. Norm will be sadly missed by his loving wife; Karen Thompson, son; Sean (Brandy) Weir of Red Deer, his daughter Pam of Calgary, daughter Coby (Todd) of Red Deer. Norm's six grandchildren; Tanym, Ashton, Kiana, Jenta, Kali and Jacy will forever cherish and miss him, as will his dear dog Lizzie. Norm will be forever missed by his loving mother Jay (Jack) Little of Brandon, MB. Norm is also survived by his brothers Ron (Betty) of Portage la Prairie, MB, Rob (Shelley) of Calgary, AB, and Don (Jean) of Brandon, MB., and his sister Heather (Ray) of Brandon, MB. Also mourning Norm's passing are many nieces and nephews, numerous other relatives and his countless friends and acquaintances. Norm was predeceased by his father Norm. Norm was born on July 15, 1951 in Brandon, MB. In his youth Norm had many adventures including his expedition to California. Enjoying travel and spending time meeting new people, Norm worked in many places doing many jobs across the Prairies until finding his home in Red Deer. Norm was passionate about his many successful oilfield businesses including Foothills Casings, Lay-Rite Casing Services, T-Bird Oilfield Rentals, and Garnet's Trucking. Norm shared his time with his family and friends doing some of his most favorite things. This included riding his Harley and travelling on expeditions abroad, sledding in the mountains, golfing and curling with friends, listening to country music, attending concerts and especially the Big Valley Jamboree. Norm also lived for his time at the lake where he shared his love for his family and friends entertaining with boat rides, sea-doo's, tubing, bbq's, and skating celebrating thru the seasons. Norm's biggest passion was bringing fun and happiness to everyone he was around, especially his special grandchildren. A Celebration of Life Service for the late Norm Weir will be held on Wednesday, May 20 at 1:30pm at CrossRoads Church, 38105- Range Road 275, Red Deer County, AB (S.W. Corner of Hwy #2 & 32 St.) Condolences may forwarded to the family at www.parklandfuneralhome.com. In living memory of Norm Weir, a tree will be planted in the Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium Memorial Tree Park in the Red Deer County, AB.
