1914 - 2011

Olive Fox of Red Deer passed away on Saturday, May 7, 2011,in Sundre, Alberta, at the age of 97. Olive was born on January 24, 1914 in Doncaster, Yorkshire, England and came to Red Deer in 1920. She was a long time member of the St. Luke's Anglican Church and was active in the Girl Guide movement. Olive was also involved with the Ladies' Curling Club, Meals-On-Wheels, Dr. Richard Parsons Auxilliary Hospital and the Red Deer Golf & Country Club. Olive will be lovingly remembered by her step-son, John Fox and family of Toronto, Ont., four nieces and five nephews. She was predeceased by her parents; Joseph and Harriet Wright, first husband, Geoff Fox, second husband, Fred Fox, three sisters, five brothers and one nephew. A Graveside Service with reception to follow will be held at a later date. Donations in Olive's honour may be made directly to the St. Luke's Anglican Church, the Red Deer Hospice Society or to the charity of your choice. Condolences may be forwarded to the family at:
