KUBAT Otto George, 83 In loving memory of Otto George Kubat. Born April 14, 1925 in Kohoutov, Czechoslovakia. Passed away on Wednesday, February 25, 2009 in Calgary, Alberta. During World War II, Otto served in the Canadian Army in England, Holland and Germany. He was awarded the Canadian Volunteer Service Medal, France and Germany Star Defence Medal, 1939 - 1945 Star and the Commonwealth War Medal. Otto was predeceased by his first wife, Anita, in 1995, his brother Joseph who was killed in action in 1944 and his sister Mary in 2001. He is survived by his wife Margaret Moroz of Red Deer, his sons, Roddie (Catherine) of Surrey, BC; Joe (Nadine) of Calgary; his daughters Peggy (Winston) of Edmonton; Joyce of Calgary; eight grandchildren, Garrett; Suzanne; Breanna; Benjamin; Hannah; Alyson; Joey; Anna; two brothers Mervin and Wesley; and sister Anne. We will miss him very much. A memorial service for Otto will be held on Friday, March 6th at 2:30 pm. at St. Luke's Anglican Church, 4929 54 Street in Red Deer, Alberta. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Society of Alberta.
