PARENT It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of our dear mother and grandmother, Johanna Jean Parent of Red Deer on Sunday, February 5, 2006 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Jean's memory will be cherished by her three children; Faith (Lewis) Murray of Edmonton, Linda (Brian) Wittmack of Bonnyville and Alphonse Parent of Red Deer, three grandchildren; Kelly (Dave) Kierluk of Lacombe, Kristine (Brent) Grieve of Bonnyville and Karie (Kurt) Sweezie of Edmonton and one great granddaughter, Emily Grieve of Bonnyville. She is also survived one brother, Rudy (Marianne) Degenstein and one sister, Diane (Lloyd) Mager as well as numerous family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Harvey, her parents; Jack and Caroline Degenstein, sisters; Fran Rackel, Alvina McMillian and Dorothy York. A Celebration of Jean's life will be held at the Red Deer Funeral Home (6150- 67 Street) on Thursday, February 9, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. If friends so desire, donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society (4730A Ross Street, Red Deer, Alberta, T4N 9Z9).
