It is with deep sadness that the family of Parvati Nair announces her passing at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre on Monday, September 15, 2014 at the age of 87 years. Parvati will be lovingly remembered by her children; Jagdish Nair, Rukhmani Pillay (Keshwa), Vijay Nair, Madhavi Lingam (Raj), Janki Raman (Anand), Devki Nair, Radha Nandan (Vishwa), Pushpa Khan (Mukhtar), Laxmi Rao (Shri), Sarojini Pillay (Vimal), as well as grandchildren and great grandchildren in Canada, Fiji and Australia. She was predeceased by her husband Narayan Nair Panikar and her son Krishna Nair. The family would like to thank the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre and the staff on Unit 33 as well as Dr. Willem Myburgh. A Funeral Service will be held at Parkland Funeral Home, 6287 67A Street, Red Deer (Taylor Drive), on Monday, September 22, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. If desired, Memorial Donations in Parvati's honor may be made directly to the Heart and Stroke Foundation www.heartandstroke.com or the Canadian Arthritis Society www.arthritis.ca.
