Passed EVANOFF

EVANOFF Passed away suddenly on Thursday, July 21, 2005, MRS. WILMA EVANOFF, of Lethbridge, at the age of 75 years, beloved wife to the late Mr. Boris Evanoff. Wilma was born, raised and educated in Medicine Hat. In 1950 she moved to Lethbridge to teach school at the Bowman School, later moving to Gilbert Paterson. She married her beloved husband Boris, in 1954. She then retired from teaching to raise her family. Once the family was grown she resumed substitute teaching, encompassing 20 years. Wilma enjoyed all kinds of needle work, working in the garden and was a master shopper. She loved to share her seasonal decorating with family, friends and neighbors. Her pride was evident as she invited friends over for refreshments to share in the season. She was an active member of Beta Sigma Phi – past president, L.S.C.O., Reach to Recovery, Lethbridge Walkers, and she had recently joined Curves. She was also an active member to the Southminster United Church. Wilma is survived by her sons Craig (Susan Cyr) Evanoff of Lethbridge, AB and Brian (Diane) Evanoff of Red Deer, AB; daughters Sharon (Rob) Ferguson of Red Deer, AB and Carol (Wes) Clifford of Airdrie, AB; grandchildren Derek and Brandon Evanoff of Red Deer, AB, Nicole Evanoff of Saskatoon, SK, Adam and Jared Ferguson of Red Deer, AB, and Jacquie, Connie, Michael Clifford of Aridrie, AB; sister Marjorie Reilly of Medicine Hat, AB; sister-in-laws Lillian Evanoff of Lethbridge, AB, Marj Evanoff of Saskatoon, SK, Vera Kembel of Luseland, SK, May Warnock of Edmonton, AB; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and their families. Besides her loving husband Boris, Wilma was predeceased by her parents Claude and Carol Daniel. Wilma loved life and lived it to its fullest with boundless energy and enthusiasm. She will be sadly missed by those who loved her. A Celebration of Life was held at 11:00AM, Tuesday, July 26, 2005, at Southminster United Church, 1011 – 4 Ave S., Lethbridge, AB, T1J 0P7, with Reverend Elizabeth Brown officiating.
