Mr. Patrick Donald Joseph Morris of Red Deer, passed away at Michener Hill Extendicare at the age of 59 years. Pat will be lovingly remembered by his wife Jo-Anne of 39 years; his pride and joy his children, one son Matthew Morris, and one daughter Jamie Morris (Rob). Also to mourn his loss his mother Yvonne Morris, brother Mike (Judy) Morris, brother Trevor (Cheryl) Morris, and numerous other family members and friends. Pat was predeceased by his father Donald Morris. Pat was born in Ottawa, Ontario, moving around with his parents to live in other provinces, as his dad was in the Army. It was when his parents were stationed in Mynaskic Park Penhold Base, that he met his wife Jo-Anne. They raised their family around the communities of Penhold, Innisfail, and Red Deer, Alberta. Pat worked for many years for Gray Beverages Pepsi Cola Red Deer, in the Service Department. He later formed his own Companies: Quality Equipment Service and Heritage Enterprises Ltd. where he took on a few partners and expanded. Pat and Jo-Anne thought while Pat's health was still good they would do a little traveling. They bought a Harley Davidson Trike and traveled with friends and family through Alberta, B.C and into the States. They also went on cruise ships to Alaska and Hawaii. After retiring Pat and Jo-Anne enjoyed volunteering at the Red Deer Food Bank. Pat was known to be quite humorous, and continued to be so during his long illness, often having a laugh with whom ever he was talking to. A service to celebrate Patrick's life will be held at The Royal Canadian Legion, 2810 Bremner Ave. on Friday September 5th, 2014 at 1 pm.
