Pauline WOLCOTT

WOLCOTT Pauline Wolcott passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on Thursday December 14th, 2006 at the age of 89 years after a long life lived well. She leaves us to join her husband, Alfred. Pauline was born on February 17, 1917 in Irvine, AB. She was the tenth of 14 children. She obtained her schooling at Sylvan Lake and worked at the Sylvan Lake Hotel. Times were hard so she helped her mother raise her brothers and sisters so most of her earnings went to her mother. Pauline was united in marriage to Alfred Melvin Wolcott Sr. September 2, 1938. They lived in the Willowdale area of Red Deer, then Sylvan Lake. They also farmed at Erskine and retired to Stettler. Pauline spent the last 17 years in Bentley where she received much love and support from her daughter, Loretta. Pauline had a calm, compassionate, loving way with people and was a wonderful ife, mother, friend and a care giver to many people. She looked after her mother, her brother Albert and gave her husband tender loving care for many years. Predeceased by her parents, Frederick and Marguerite Martz and 12 siblings she is suvived by her sister, Rosella Hitchin, daughter Loretta (Larry) Swainston, her son Alfred Jr. (Colette) Wolcott, 4 grandsons, Keith (Heather) Swainston, Bradley (Tara) Swainston, Christopher and Cameron Wolcott, as well as 4 great granddaughters, Brettney, Sydney, Danielle and Morgan Swainston, nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Pauline’s life will be held at the Bentley Community Church on Thursday, December 21, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. Cremation entrusted to Central Alberta Crematorium. If friends desire memorial contributions may be made to the Bentley Community Church or the charity of the donors choice.
