Peter Lloyd George Rafuse, 56, died Monday March 9th, 2020 at the Red Deer Hospice Society.
He leaves behind his son, Clayton Rafuse (Veronique), his brother, Bruce (Debbie) Rafuse, niece Erica, nephews Carson and Jeremy, along with many other close friends and family. Pete was pre-deceased by his father Glen Rafuse, his mother Marjorie Rafuse (nee Banks), and sister Linda Rafuse.
Born and raised in central Alberta, Pete spent the majority of his life as a cowboy, working at a variety of ranches and feedlot operations. He had a love for horses and livestock and spent most of his time outdoors. A hard worker, he worked until he was forced to retire to Central Alberta due to medical reasons.
In his later years, Pete spent countless hours ice and fly fishing with his son Clayton, a pastime they both loved sharing together. A talented fly fisherman, he quickly found that there is in fact a correlation between fly fishing and roping.
In lieu of a service, Pete asked that donations be made to the Red Deer Hospice Society and the Canadian Kidney Foundation.
