"With a heavy heart we announce the passing of Phan Xuan Nguyen. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, September 6th, 2021 at the age of 54.
He will always be remembered as the person who put others before himself.
He is survived by his wife, Van, his children Ngan (Leroy), An, Han (James) and his grandchildren Jacob and Judiah.
Phan was born on May 1st, 1967 in Biên Hoà, Vietnam. He immigrated to Red Deer, AB along with his wife 32 years ago.
Altogether, he was devoted to his faith, family and work. As a faithful man, he volunteered not only monetary contributions, but also a significant amount of time to the church.
Phan had a prominent role in the lives of his kids, nieces/nephews and grandchildren. During his working hours, he was always eager to pass on his knowledge in both his restaurant (Sherry's Restaurant) and renovation work.
His funeral will be held at St. Mary's Parish on September 18 at 10 am for those who would like to join us."
