With sad hearts we announce the passing of Phyllis on Thursday, August 29th at the age of 97.
Phyllis is survived by her daughter Ellen (Greg) Scott; granddaughter Sarah (Dave) Cawsey and their daughters Elise, Gabrielle and Penelope; and granddaughter Jackie (Dan) Pinsent and their daughters Addison and Olivia.
Phyllis is also survived by her son Bill, grandson Paul (Harmony) and their children Jenna and Kale; and grandson Michael (Trisha) and their children Julia and Lochlin.
Phyllis, one of seven children, was born to Fred and Clara Fess on February 3, 1922 in Simcoe, Ontario where she grew up, attended school and met and married Charles Wheeler. In 1968 the family moved to Red Deer. She later moved to Vancouver and Halifax, returning to Red Deer in 1981. She enjoyed playing bridge, volunteering for various organizations and was involved in sorority for over 25 years. She loved spending time with all her children.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to charity of choice. A private family service will be held at a later date.
