With great sadness we announce the passing of our beloved Mom Phyllis McBride, on Friday, January 12, 2018 at the age of 81 years. Phyllis is survived by her daughters Trudy Rice; Kathryn Duffy (John); Debora Salomons (Gordon) and Lorena Rice; nine grandchildren, Tammy Svenningsen (Jason); Shawn Moore (Natalie); Jason Moore; Carmen Pietsch (Tyson); Dustin Duffy (Dallas); Roch Romanson (Pearl); Christine Romanson; Cheryl Steeves and Anjila Steeves Myrol; 18 great grandchildren, as well as, her sister Alice Beamish and Carol Turk.
She was predeceased by her parents Hazel Corrigan (Bob) 2003 and Monty Wilson (Norma) 1979; husband Laural Rice in 1965 and Jim McBride in 2000; brother Art Wilson (1990) and infant son Eldon Rice in 1959.
A Celebration of Phyllis's Life will be held at Gaetz Memorial United Church (4758 50 St, Red Deer, AB) on Saturday February 10, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. Reception to follow at the Church. Two of Mom's favorite things were her Church and feeding people, accordingly, if friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Gaetz Memorial United Church or the Red Deer Food Bank Society.
