Phyllis peacefully passed away at Riverview Care centre at 96 years old in Medicine Hat Alberta. She wore her age well and was proud to inform anyone she was the same age as the queen.
She was predeceased by her husband William James (Jim) Kennedy in 1991. She will lovingly missed by children Beverly (Jack) Kolody, Glenn Kennedy, Norma (John) Kerr, Cindy (Dwayne) Levitt. Phyllis was adored by her 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. She was also a favourite to many nieces and nephews.
Phyllis and Jim loved Red Deer where they raised their children. Being a social couple, they made many friends, attended church and were involved in many sales related enterprises.
In retirement years she loved to travel and spent many winters in Yuma Arizona, painting, knitting, bowling, and paper toiling.
A funeral service will be held Monday, June 27, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Victory Lutheran Church, 2793 Southview Dr SE Medicine Hat. Condolences may be expressed by visiting the Saamis funeral home website at www.saamis.com.
