Phyllis gave back to the community by volunteering in C.W.L., I.O.D.E., K-40-Ladies-Kinnets, as a director on the Westerner Board as well as donation many hours with "Creative Arts."

She enjoyed gardening, crafts, golfing, bridge and had a healthy appetite for shopping. Phyllis and Alfio enjoyed many years in their second home in Palm Springs and traveled to Italy, Hawaii, New Zealand, Nova Scotia and British Columbia.

Both of them felt that family and friends were very important. They loved to host huge family Christmases and numerous parties for their countless friends.

Phyllis is going to be greatly missed by her best friend and husband, Alfio, her son, Michael (Carol) Truant and daughter, Tammy (Barry) Postma and very special grandchildren, Micah and Tarah Truant, Marlee and Jared Postma.
