POLAY Mrs. Ruth M. (Walters) Polay of Lacombe, passed away at the Red Deer Nursing Home on Friday, January 6, 2006 at the age of 89 1/2 years. Ruth was born near Lousana, Alberta on the home farm on July 7, 1916. She loved flowers and gardening and was always busy with numerous crafts, projects and community activities. Ruth will be very deeply and sadly missed but lovingly remembered and forever cherished in the hearts of her family and dear friends. Ruth leaves to mourn her loss, her seven daughters; Joan (Wallin) Gibson of Delburne, Dorothy (Lloyd) Feil of Lousana, Shirley (Ed) Paradowski of Sherwood Park, Carol (Oris) Rodger of Three Hills, Lorraine (Ivan) Walker of Red Deer, Marlene (John) Buckland and Gayle (Dan) Thomsen, all of Lousana, son-in-law, Bert (Ruth) Paton of Calgary, twenty-four grandchildren, thirty-eight great grand children and two great great grandchildren. She will also be very sadly missed by her sister, Ruby (Harvey) Johnson of Swift Current, Saskatchewan, three brothers, Harvey (Kathi) Kitto of Washington, United States, Norman (Flo) Kitto of Campbell River, British Columbia, Lawrence (Sandy) Kitto of Vancouver, British Columbia, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and dear friends. Ruth was predeceased by her beloved husbands, Thomas Walters in 1980 and George Polay in 1999, a daughter, Irene in 1973, five grandchildren, five brothers and a sister. A Public Funeral Service will be held at the Delburne Community Hall, Delburne, Alberta on Monday, January 9, 2006 at 1:30 p.m. A Private Family Interment Service will be held at the Delburne Cemetery, Delburne, Alberta.
