POTTER 1974 - 2009 Vance Potter of Calgary formerly of Delburne passed away on Saturday, January 24, 2009 at the age of 34 years. Vance was born on October 30, 1974 at Red Deer, Alberta. He attended grade school in Blackfalds, Alberta then moved to the farm near Delburne to finish his schooling. After school Vance worked in the construction and oil fields finally moving to Calgary where he worked at J & B Plumbing and Atco Trailers. In July of 2008 he became a skilled machine operator with a basic machine operator's certificate which he earned at Southern Alberta Institute of Technology. Vance had many hobbies that he loved to do: fishing, chess, scrabble and especially his X-Box. He will be fondly remembered for his love of people, his kind ways, very pleasant, great sense of humour, intelligence and his very, very warm personality. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Vance is survived by his loving parents, Jim and Bonnie Potter of Delburne, his many uncles and aunts, cousins and his friends. He was predeceased by his grandpa, Tom Potter in 1989, grandpa, Fred Plumb in 1989, his cousin, Ray Potter in 1999, his grandma, Gladys Plumb in 1998, grandma, Gertie Potter in 2000, his uncle, Dennis Potter in 2007 and his aunt, Rosalie Sybulka in 2004. A funeral service in Vance's honour will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820 - 45 Street, Red Deer on Saturday, January 31, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. A funeral luncheon will follow the funeral which will be held at the Westerner Park, Harvest Centre, "Marquis Room", 4847-19 Street, Red Deer.
