SMITH, Raelene SMITH,
On January 3, 2005, Mrs. Raelene Smith of Sherwood Park, formerly of Red Deer passed away peacefully at her home following a courageous battle with cancer at age 45. Survived by her loving husband Mark Trainor, daughter Randi and son Joel; her father Raymond; brother Bill (Mary Rose), also numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives and friends. Predeceased by her mother Irene in 1995. Raelene was a pioneer in the Helicopter Maintenance field and Glider Pilot Programs after receiving her scholarship in 1976. Her career took her to many places throughout Canada and the Arctic. She was a devoted Mother and wife. She will be remembered as a valued co-worker and friend. A memorial service will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820 - 45 St, Red Deer, Alberta on Thursday, January 6, 2005 at 1:00pm. In lieu of floral tributes, donations may be made to the Alberta Cancer Foundation, for Breast Cancer Research, 11560 University Ave., Edmonton T6G 1Z2.
