Ray BENZ

BENZ Ray Dewain 1930 – 2008 Ray Dewain Benz was born on September 14, 1930 and passed away in St. Mary's Hospital in Camrose, Alberta on October 22, 2008 after a short battle with cancer. Ray was born in Daysland, Alberta to Helen and Dick Benz of Rosalind where he spent his school days excelling in sports and the making of many life-long friendships. Ray is survived by his sons Dewain (Diann), Allen (Tammy) and Les (Jeannine); sisters Doris Eshpeter of Camrose, Viola Mikasko of Cold Lake, Fern (John) Shomachuk of Calgary and Leona (Lloyd) Holyoak of Erskine; and his brother Stan Benz of Wetaskiwin. He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Harold, his partner Olive McDonald and her sons Daryl and David. His life is also remembered with deepest affection by Olive's children Darlene, Darwin and Donna and by his loving partner of 17 years, Marnie Hough as well as 11 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, numerous other relatives and friends. A Service of Remembrance will be held at the Bashaw Legion Auditorium on Monday, October 27, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a charity of your choice.
