RAY Mr. Wilfred (George) Ray passed away peacefully at the Rosefield Extended Care Facility on April 13, 2006 at the age of 82 years, with his children at his side. He was predeceased by his loving wife, Selma May Ray, of 54 years in May 2000. He will be dearly missed and lovingly remembered by his children; Norma (Ted) Arthur and Allan Ray, his grandchildren; Leslie (Tom) DeRuyter, Kelly Ray and Kristy (Darren) Blair, his great grandchildren; Corbyn, Rees, Darby, Rayan and Kaitlin. He was survived by three brothers; Harold, Bill (Ida) and Gordon, two sisters; Ruth and Sylvia and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three sisters; Pauline, Alvina, and Alice and one brother Dan. Wilfred was born in Hilda, Alberta on July 9, 1923. The family moved east of Innisfail where he met Selma and was married on October 28, 1945. They lived happily together on their farm until retirement to Innisfail in 1995 where Selma resided until her passing. Wilfred remained in their Innisfail home until November 2003 when he moved into the Rosefield Extended Care Facility until his passing. He loved his Lord and was a faithful member of the Church of the Nazarene. Funeral services for the late Mr. Wilfred (George) Ray will be held at the Church of the Nazarene, 4904 - 48 Street, Innisfail, Alberta, on Thursday, April 20, 2006 at 2:00 pm with The Reverend Glenn Boyce and The Reverend Bud Sargent officiating. Internment will follow at the Innisfail Cemetery. If friends desire memorial tributes may be made directly to The Church of the Nazarene, 4904 - 48 Sreet, Innisfail, Alberta, T4G 1N1.
