LEHR Rebecca (Becky) Lehr of Red Deer, AB passed away at the Red Deer Regional Hospital on March 22, 2008 at the age of 97 years. Rebecca will be lovingly remembered by her two sons; Clarence (Kelly) Lehr (Donna) of Snohomish, Washington and Ronald (Diane) Lehr of Red Deer, AB; two daughters, Gladys (Bill) Fletcher of Beulah, Michigan and Joyce (John) Kelly of Calgary, AB. Her memory will also be cherished by her nine grandchildren, twenty-three great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. Rebecca is also survived by her two sisters, Clara (George) Livingston of Aetna, AB and Mary (Bill) Rudolph of the USA. Rebecca was predeceased by her husband Emil, five brothers and two sisters. Rebecca was the second oldest of a large family living on a farm in Golden Prairie, SK. She married the love of her life, Emil at age 19 and began their family on a homestead in Kimball, AB. In later years, they relocated to Cardston, AB where she was co-owner of the Cardston Grill for several years. During her career she used her cooking expertise as a Chef at various establishments. Calgary became Becky and Emil's home in the late 1950's and their retirement took place in Kelowna, BC. In 1990, as a widow, Becky took residence in Red Deer, AB. A funeral service for the late Rebecca Lehr will be held at Mountain View Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home, 17th Avenue S.E. at Garden Road, Calgary, AB on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at 2:00 p.m. with the Reverend Prescott Burrill officiating. Interment will follow at Mountain View Memorial Gardens Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the David Thompson Regional Health Foundation, (Red Deer Regional Hospital), 3942 - 50A Avenue, Red Deer, AB T4N 4E7.
