REED Mrs. Frances Vera Reed (nee Holland) of Red Deer, formerly of Lachine, Quebec, passed away at the Valley Park Manor in Red Deer on January 31, 2006 in her 100th year. Frances was the beloved wife of the Late Frederick Reed and a dear mother to Victoria (Bruce Drysdale) and Austin (Henriette Legault) and a sister to June (Matthew Morens). She was also a loving grandmother to Victoria's children, Heather (Graham Marsden), Margaret (Dale McNeely), Robert, Ian (Joanne Gingras), and to Austin's children, Ann (Guy Metayer), Catherine, Eric (Isabelle Duclos), fourteen great grandchildren as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Frances was predeceased by her husband Frederick in 1988, one sister Gwen (Chaloner) in 1990, one brother Austin Holland in 1983, one sister-in-law Alice Holland in 1991 and one brother-in-law Hilton Chaloner in 1980. Funeral Services for the Late Frances Vera Reed will be held from the Chapel of the Parkland Funeral Home and Crematorium on Saturday, February 11, 2006 at 1 pm with The Reverend Fran Hare officiating. A Graveside Service will be held at the Mount Royal Cemetery, Montreal, Quebec at a later date.
