Reg Carr lived and worked in Red Deer from 1968 until 1987 and loved everything about the area and the people. He taught first at Innisfail High School and then at Maryview and St. Thomas Aquinas. Reg's most rewarding job was teaching special education at St. Thomas where he was able to introduce innovation and creativity into the classroom. He loved his students and enjoyed seeing them fulfill their potential. Reg also realized a lifelong dream by farming in the Hillsdown area. Reg and Joan returned to Australia in 1987 where they lived in Tasmania. Reg continued to work as a volunteer at the Royal Hobart Golf Club until six months ago. He is survived by his wife, Joan and his children, Belinda, Celene (Blain), Marcus, Nick (Erika), Madeline (Craig) and Tom (Mary) and seven grandchildren.
