GARBOWSKI Regina Bozena Garbowski, of Sylvan Lake, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2007 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital after a strong and courageous battle with cancer for the past two years. She is survived by her beloved husband Kazimierz Garbowski; her precious daughters Ewelina and Kamila and her dear grandson Myles. Regina was born in Poland on December 7, 1955. She and her two daughters immigrated to Canada in 1991 while her husband was patiently awaiting their arrival to start a new life. She left behind a brother, sister, mother and her whole family. She began her hardworking career in Sylvan Lake at Sylvan Lake Lodge where she worked as an evening supervisor for over ten years, her kind smile and big heart quickly spread to her co-workers and the senior residents. Regina had a natural talent for art, knitting, polish cooking, traveling and she couldn’t hide her true affection for the love of animals, especially her adored kitty Oreo. She will always be deeply loved, missed and remembered and her laughter, smile and the love for her family and friends will never be forgotten. For those wishing to pay their respects, they may do so at the Our Lady of Assumption Catholic Church on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 between 11:00 A.M. and 12:00 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at the Our Lady of Assumption Church on Wednesday, July 18, 2007 at 1:00 P.M. Interment will follow at the Sylvan Lake Cemetery.
