ST GELAIS Rene St Gelais passed away at the Rockyview Hospital on Saturday, July 30, 2005 at the age of 68 years. Rene was born July 23, 1937 in Timons, Ont., where he grew up. Rene started working in logging camps of Northern Ontario, he then moved on to road construction for several years. His next step was a car dealership where he met his lifelong partner, Geneva Stewert who predeceased him in January, 2002. Rene & Geneva moved from Ontario to Innisfail, Alberta in 1977 where Rene worked in road construction, he then started his own business, Innisfail Auto Body & Repair until he retired. Rene didn't know when to quit- he was always busy with something but always made time to be there when you needed him. Rene will be lovingly remembered by his son, Ed, daughter, Darlene of Tillsonburg, Ont., daughters MaryAnn, Linda, Rose, of Innisfail, daughter Glady of Tillsonberg, Ont. Prayers will be held at Metcalf Funeral Chapel, 4200 - 49th Ave, Innisfail, AB on Thursday, August 4 at 10 am. In lieu of flowers, donations in Rene's honour may be made directly to Stars Ambulance, Calgary if you so desire.
