Peacefully on May 8, 2020, Rhonda passed away at the age of 53 in her home with her husband and daughter at her side.
She was predeceased by her father Thomas, and grandparents. She will be lovingly remembered by her husband Michael Hamers; mother Elizabeth Warren; daughter Shantana Kover (Jason); grandchildren Kash, Lennon and Arya; stepson Derek Hamers (Leslie); father and mother-in-law Peter and Lenore Hamers; brother and sister-in-law Ron and Shelley Hamers; nephew Quaid and friends.
Rhonda was born and raised in Saskatoon, Sk. Attending Evan Hardy Collegiate. She left Saskatoon with her husband in 2006 to pursue new work-related opportunities in Red Deer. She attended Red Deer College and completed her degree in bookkeeping.
She had a variety of jobs mainly in the newspaper industry and diligently delivered for the Saskatoon Star Phoenix during her time living there and for the Red Deer Advocate during the past 14 years in Red Deer. She also worked full-time for Blue Grass Sod Farms indulging in her love of plants and flowers. She loved gardening, observing birds and all animals, especially dogs. She enjoyed her winter trips to Mexico and the Caribbean with her husband and friends.
A celebration of life will be held in Saskatoon at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Central Alberta Humane Society in Red Deer as Rhonda was so passionate about animals.
