January 11, 1961 - August 10, 2019
It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Rhonda Stanchfield of Clive on August 10, 2019 at the age of 58 years. Rhonda was born in Red Deer on January 11, 1961 and spent all her life there until she married Randy Stanchfield on October 10, 1987.
She operated numerous restaurants on her own and with her mom Beth but in recent years worked at Discovery Wildlife Park for Doug and Debbie Bos, which she absolutely loved.
Rhonda loved her winters in Yuma, Arizona where she and Randy had a great community of friends.
Rhonda is survived by her loving husband Randy of Clive, son Tyler of Red Deer, her parents Ron and Beth Stutt of Red Deer, brother Wayne and his wife Denise of Red Deer, her mother-in-law Marlene Stanchfield of Red Deer, brother-in-law Donald Stanchfield of Grande Prairie, sisters-in-law: Sandra Doornenbal- Landry (Gene) of Spruce Grove and Debbie Soderburg (Stephen) of Clive, very special friends Kevin and Laurie Connelly and their family of Red Deer, as well as numerous nieces, nephews and many good friends.
I wish to say a very special "Thankyou" to all of the staff at the Lacombe Hospital and Care Center and Dr. Darnell, the staff at the Red Deer Cancer Clinic and all of our friends and family who came to visit and give support, as well as a very heartfelt "Thank you" to Danny and Eddie Beach-DB Bobcat-for their understanding which allowed me to spend the time I needed to be with Rhonda, to Don and Jean Tymstra for their gracious hospitality, to Steve and Terry Maetche for their visits and support and to Val Thompson for her loyal friendship and daily visits. Following Rhonda's wishes, no funeral service will be held. If friends desire memorial donations may be made to the Lacombe Palliative Care Society.
