RING Mrs. Marion Violet Ring passed away on May 6, 2005 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital at the age of 85 years. Marion will be fondly remembered by her sons Jim (Leslie) of Edmonton, Don (Lynne) of Red Deer, grandchildren Tracy (Duane) Hunter, Chris (Melany) Ring, Carrie (Philip) Lentz, Kim Ring and 2 special great grandchildren Camryn Hunter and Maddison Ring. Marion is also survived by her brother Donald White of Penticton, BC and sister Marie Pitts of Surrey, BC. She was predeceased by her husband Jack Ring and sister Audrey Pitts. Marion was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who displayed a great sense of humor to the end. She loved being around her family and friends. She was a keen volunteer at the Golden Circle and the Canadian Mental Health Association. Carpet bowling at the Legion was another pastime she greatly enjoyed. At Marion’s request, there will be no funeral service. Family and friends are invited to attend a tea to be held at the Red Deer Legion on Tuesday, May 10, 2005 from 3:00-5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Central Alberta Residence Society - # 300, 5000-50 Avenue, Red Deer, Alberta, T4N 6C2.
