EICHHORN Rita Violet "Vi" Eichhorn Vi Eichhorn of Donalda passed away at the Stettler Pine Ridge Lodge on Friday, October 23, 2009 at the age of 84 years. Vi was born November 6, 1924 at Heisler, Alberta. Vi attended Wanda School while helping on the farm. She worked at the Copperthorne Ranch and Stettler Hospital for a time. On December 29, 1952, Vi married Henry Eichhorn, they raised two children, Audrey and Gary. Vi worked at the Red and White Store in Donalda for 20 years and resided in Donalda until her passing. Throughout the years Vi enjoyed gardening, crocheting, quilting, bingo, camping and fishing with her family. She loved the Maves Homestead, but most of all she loved her family; grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Vi drove the motorhome for Henry to take his steam engine to Pioneer Days around the local area. Left to mourn and sadly miss Vi are her loving husband, Henry Eichhorn of Donalda; son, Gary (Shelly) of Red Deer; grandchildren: Derek, Kelly, Nicole and Amanda; numerous other relatives and many dear friends. Vi was predeceased by her parents, daughter, Audrey, one brother, and three sisters. A graveside service for the late Mrs. Vi Eichhorn will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, October 30, 2009 at the Donalda Cemetery, Donalda, Alberta. Following the graveside service the family asks that you join with them for a time of sharing and a light luncheon at the Donalda Community Hall.
