GRAY Rita Anne 1931 - 2009 Rita Anne Gray of Red Deer passed away at Centennial Centre on January 26, 2009 at the age of 77 years. Rita was born in Toronto, ON on December 2, 1931. Rita loved to garden, cook, read a good book, make jigsaw puzzles, dance and enjoyed a glass of wine. She also devoted much of her time as a volunteer for many organizations such as the Golden Circle, where she was a receptionist, Kiwaniannes, Christmas Bureau, Girl Guide Leader, and delivered groceries and books to shut-ins. This was always done with a smile. Rita is lovingly remembered by her husband Bob, two daughters; Maureen of Edmonton and Erin (John) MacDonald of Red Deer, two grandchildren; Alex and Harry, sister Eileen Duckworth of California, and also by many nieces and nephews. Rita was predeceased by her sister Eleanor Anderson, brother-in-law Tom Anderson, nephew Kelly Anderson, and two brothers; Leo and Jack Harrison. Memorial Services for Rita will take place at Red Deer Funeral Home (6150 - 67 Street) on Monday, February 2, 2009 at 1:00 p.m. with Chaplin Rick Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Alto Reste Cemetery. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Alzheimer Society's Research Department (104, 4805 - 48 Ave., Red Deer, AB T4N 3T2).
