ELWORTHY
Robert (Bob) Elworthy of Bowden passed away suddenly at home on April 3, 2014 at the age of 57 years. Born in Zweibrücken, Germany, Bob enjoyed golfing, fishing, camping and especially the annual fall hunt in November. Loving father and friend to many, Bob was known for his easy going and generous nature, laid back attitude, his sense of humor and infectious laugh. He was always quick to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. Bob is survived by his daughter Brooke Bertschi (Justin Osness); grandsons Evan and Jace Bertschi; friend and partner Christine Lyttle; brothers Bruce and Gordon (Rosanna) Elworthy; nieces Sarah Elworthy and Kathryn Badger and nephew Jeffrey Elworthy. He was predeceased by his wife Vickey and parents Bill and Frances Elworthy. Memorial services were held on Wednesday April 9, 2014 at Heartland Funeral Services Chapel, Olds. Interment was held at the Bowden Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the MS Society of Canada of charity of choice.
