1929 - 2009
Mr. Robert "Bob" Louis Gibbon of Lacombe, Alberta passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 15th, 2009 at the Red Deer Regional Hospital Centre at the age of 80 years. Bob was born on February 12th, 1929 at Stettler, Alberta. Bob will be sadly missed but lovingly remembered by his special companion Eleanor Denoncourt of Lacombe, Alberta, his sons, Darrell Gibbon of Innisfail, Alberta, Allan (Wendy) Gibbon of Airdrie, Alberta, and Neil Gibbon of Red Deer, Alberta, his daughter, Doris Gibbon of Edmonton, Alberta, along with five grandchildren, Mike, Jennifer (Olli), Shannon (Joost), Keith, and Krystina, and seven great grandchildren. Bob is also survived by his sister, Bernice (Harvey) Warkentin of Red Deer, Alberta, and numerous nieces and nephews. Bob was predeceased by his wife Irene, as well as numerous brothers and sisters, cousins, two sister-in-laws, and one brother-in-law. A celebration of Bob’s life will be held at Eventide Funeral Chapel, 4820 - 45th Street, Red Deer, Alberta on Saturday, October 24th, 2009 at 11:00 a.m. Cremation entrusted to Central Alberta Crematorium, Red Deer, Alberta.
