Robert "Bob" John Munro of Delburne passed away at Michener Extendicare on April 20, 2017 at the age of 81 years. Bob was born at the Red Deer Regional Hospital. He was raised in Delburne on the family farm and attended the Delburne and Great Bend schools. Bob took over the farm at the young age of 15. He then met Agnes Sheward and they married October 26, 1968. Raising children, animals, and farming were his passions. Gardening, coaching baseball, and being a sports enthusiast were his specialties. Bob often attended cribbage tournaments and played several board games. Bob affected many people's lives with his sense of humour, laughter, kindness, and will be forever missed. Bob will be lovingly remembered by his wife Agnes; sons James and Eugene; Sister Jean Havell; eight grandchildren; six great grandchildren; one adopted son; as well as numerous nephews, nieces, family members and friends. Bob was predeceased by his parents, Muriel and James and daughter Louise. A celebration of Bob's life will be held at the Delburne Community Hall on Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be directed to the Delburne & District Drop-In Centre, PO Box 404, Delburne, AB T0M 0V0.
